Max spent his first Christmas at his grandparents' in New Hampshire.
He got to meet their Bichon Frise, Lulu:

He also got to practice climbing up and down stairs, and did a pretty darn good job (our SF apartment unfortunately doesn't have any suitable stairs for Max to climb on):

Most excitingly, Max got to experience snow for the first time:
