The day after Thanksgiving we continued our tradition of cutting down our Christmas tree. Sure, we could get a cheaper tree with less hassle at Home Depot but we started this tradition three years ago and now we're stuck with it.
We jokingly told the kids they needed to hold the twine or the tree would fall off the car. The kids took their jobs very seriously.
It's amazing to witness Scarlett's imagination. Today in the bath, she rescued a little imaginary baby bug. Like all of Scarlett's imaginary animals, he was sad because he wanted his mommy. After reuniting him with his mommy on Neverland Island, the baby bug was still sad because he wanted his daddy. Luckily we were able to catch him, and the bugs lived happily ever after. The imaginary baby birds she found in the tub were not so lucky. She ate them.
Scarlett demanded Max play doctor with her today. In addition to lots of fake coughing she proclaimed the following:
"I have a fever!"
"I'm sick. I need to rest up."
And my personal favorite, "I have a cut in my mouth. I need medicine!"
