The lovely lady "taking care" of the yellow jackets right as we left |
We just had a wonderful camping trip with two other families, our kids first! We stayed at Samuel P. Taylor state park in a family group site which was perfect, except for the log of yellow jackets who also lived there. Thankfully the yellow jackets didn't bother us and we were able to peacefully co-exist for the two days we spent there. The kids got nice and dirty, we ate some good food, went on a hike, played in a swimming hole, made s'mores, and had a little adult time by the fire after we put the kids to bed. The sweetest moment for us was when we returned to our tent after hanging with the adults at night we found Max and Scarlett cuddling as they were sleeping. It's definitely a lot of work camping with kids but it really was a good time for everyone.
